Kellton Tech was invited to participate into the Digital India Summit 2015 organized by Confederation of Indian industry (CII) in association with Govt. of India. The conference aimed it inviting comments and views of IT experts to draft a recommendation for Digital Media Campaign initiated by India’s Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. The company’s CEO and AVP, Karanjit Singh and Mukesh Bukka, respectively participated in multiple panel discussions and contributed to recommendations that were later submitted to Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon'ble Minister for IT & Telecom, Govt. of India.
The Digital India Campaign is an effort to equip citizens of India with knowledge based transformation and delivers 75% e-governance comfort by 2018. The campaign focuses on creation of digital infrastructure, delivering services digitally and digital literacy. It plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks enabling greater employment opportunities for the young people there while simultaneously building smart cities that would fuel economic growth.
Several companies including Ernst & Young, IBM, Microsoft, NIIT Technologies, Siemens, Wipro, etc., besides government agencies like BBNL, USOF and NASSCOM were other active participants at the event.
