Bokanyi Consulting, a Kellton Tech Company is proud to announce that we recently installed and achieved SAP certification of our S/4HANA Simple Finance 2.0 system. This system is the next evolution of SAP ERP, with the new Simple Finance architecture running on top of the in-memory HANA platform. Included with this system is the latest generation of SAP new user applications, called Fiori. Personas 3.0, a web based screen rendering and customization tool, is part of the system as well.
Simple Finance 2.0 gives a preview of how SAP will simplify and increase the power of the end user experience. There are three key benefits that S/4HANA delivers with this amazing new technology:
- Simplified, beautiful, and functional user experience across devices and platforms, with the new Fiori applications as a central gateway to transactions, reporting, and workflow processes.
- Simplified and easily accessible analytics via SAP’s business intelligence platform on HANA. Users can access, run, and create ad-hoc analytics with intuitive and powerful tools such as Lumira, and MS Analysis for Excel.
- Simplified data model that eliminates disparate tables, and in-memory architecture which eliminates the need for redundant data like aggregates and index tables.
The current phase of S/4HANA is primarily focused on finance and accounting, with a new central accounting table ACDOCA that encompasses all of the finance and controlling elements. This central table makes it extremely easy to view all financial posting details in real time, and simplifies reporting by eliminating reconciliations between finance and controlling. Our experience so far with Simple Finance 2.0 has been overwhelmingly positive from the user perspective, although we note that SAP still has a lot of work ahead to further expand the scope to areas outside of finance.
